Hi I am so sorry if this is a silly question. I have a TT basic in car nav thats 2 years old. How do I get upto date maps for ir, do I upgrade, if so where from, or do I have to buy new maps every so often. There are new roads going up every day & I assume my maps are old. Thank you so much whoever decides to try & answer this question. |

Have a look at This Page the maps are not free but they are currently discounted with 20% off, you will need to download the new map to the PC, probably upgrade the TomTom software on your Nav unit (which is free) - this is required to use a new map.
Grab a copy of TomTom Home software while you are on the TT web site as you need this PC package to install the new software/ maps etc. Home can be found Here again this is free, only the map is a chargable item - Mike |

I am presuming you have either a GO Classic or one of the x00 series.
Yes you can update the Maps and also the software. The have moved on a lot if you have never upgraded a Classic.
You can either Buy and Download Maps from TomTom direct. I don't know if you can buy it now already installed onto an SD Card.
Currently, the GB Map costs £32.53 to download, but you will need to factor in a new SD Card as it won't fit on the original, if you have the Classic. _________________ Richard
