Hi All

I've recently installed MaFt's POI's and PGPSW camera data base and I'm using Ash10's application to modify my alerts. Both POI's and the data base are stored on my SD card and the whole thing is working as advertised. One thing that is puzzling me is that all the threads I have read state that when the POI's and camera database are saved to the same directory they should download at once, mine do not do this. I insert the SD card in the reader and I have to load both the POI's and the camera database separately although both files are contained in the same directory. Have I read all the other info incorrectly or have I done something wrong with downloading the POI's and camera database ? Both the POI's and the camera datbase are in a folder called 'Garmin POI and camera information'
Thanks in advance

This is for when you use the POILoader software.

1. Hardware Garmin i3, software release 3, audio 2.5

2. Yes, that's the point I was making, I thought the POI loader loaded everything that was in the directory but it's only loading either the POI's or the camera database, not both together.

I don't appear to have an edit option, when I said software release 3 in the above post I meant firmware Rolling Eyes

all thecsv files need to be in one single folder, not split into sub-folders. does this help? if not then please provide more info.

Well I followed the i3 guide for dummies http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=29719

These seem to be the relevant steps:

6) Next make & name a folder on your computer calling it Garmin I3 POI’s & Safety Camera Data or similar.

7) Download the latest POI’s to this folder.
http://www.MaFt.co.uk/garmin/download.htm

8) Download the latest Safety Camera Data to the same folder.
http://www.PocketGPSWorld.com/uksafetycameras.php

When I do steps 6 to 8 above I have an icon on my desktop called Garmin I3 POI’s & Safety Camera Data, when I double click that icon I get 2 separate folders showing, one with POI's the other with the camera data. Assuming I download the camera data second should I be downloading that to the POI's folder rather than Garmin I3 POI’s & Safety Camera Data folder ?

Yep. All of the actual files need to be in the same folder.

remember that when you unzip the zip files (either speed cams or my poi's) it may actually be adding a sub-folder to the folder you are already in. just make sure all the files are in the same place and not in any other folder!
