Tomtom Go 500.
Can i add pois of the deliveries that i have? Like the postcodes but add them when i am outside the customers door.
What info can i have for the poi could i use a customer number from a database? Would this be searchable on the make a route?
How many customer pois could i add, would they all go under one heading like the speed cameras and would they show as customer numbers like the gatso numbers?
Sorry to be such a long first post, its a new toy at work.
Thanks for your help

Is it best to buy 2006 or does it have the postcode problem that i have read about?
I want to creat a route of postcodes and use Autoroute to sort the shortest route?
Thanks again.

You can create a single POI file that will contain all your customers, to get it to work in AutoRoute will require converting the TomTom .ov2 files to whatever file format is compatable with Autoroute, then create your route, not impossible but not the easiest of things to do.
I would sugest you create your POI file (even include customer phone numbers if need be), then have a look at the Itinery mode within TomTom to define a route between the various required drop-offs. This will not be an optomised route though, if you need to optomise, use the PC to work out the best order, then plan the Itinery route based on the PC optimised data - Mike |

You can convert an OV2 File to a Text File with Dumpov2.exe and this can be imported into Autoroute. If you import the locations you want, AR can optomise the route. Save this as an AXE File and it can be converted into an Itinerary (with an App called ITNConv), that can be imported straight into TomTom. _________________ Richard

Going back to the first part of your question: yes, you can add them while you are sitting outside their door.
First create a new POI category (Change preferences / Manage POI / Add POI category) Call it "Clients" or whatever.
Then when you are outside the front door go Change preferences / Manage POI / Add POI / forward arrow / GPS position. You can name it anything you like as you save it. |
