I'm really sorry if this has been already asked/answered, but I looked through the first couple pages and didn't see a thread about it already (I tried using the search feature but kept coming up with 10k+ results ...).

Is it possible for me to enter locations of various "stuff" on my PC then transfer them to my Quest 2? Or maybe could I just connect my quest 2 to my computer and just enter locations directly into my Quest 2 through my PC? My problem is I have a large number of things I need to enter into my Quest for my business, and I will need to continuely add more. Entering them straight into the quest is also a pretty big pain.

Or maybe is there a way to attach an external keyboard to help me put in location entries faster?

I read the manual and it didn't say much about entering location coordinates with a PC or an external keyboard as far as I could tell. I am entering them by longitude and latitude (and of course naming them).

I have already installed the drivers from the CD that came with it. However reading another thread it sounded to me like I need another CD that didn't come with the Quest 2 to install the software on my PC.

I will greatly appreciate any help that anyone can provide, and thank you very much in advance!

Hi and Welcome

You need to phone Garmin and tell them you have a Quest2 and you would like to have the "Mapsource CD" so you can load the maps on your PC. According to this thread, Garmin will send it to you for free if you ask nicely.

Once you have mapsource loaded on your PC, you can upload/download/edit waypoints, create complex routes (ie with multiple via points) and review the tracklogs on your PC.

You can also view the data from your Quest in Google Earth which is pretty cool. Download the Mapsource update from Garmin's website when you have the Mapsource program installed.

Thank you a bunch! Guess I better give 'em a call and get that disk right away to make this easier Smile.
