update TT5 to SD card

I finally have TT5 V4.3 up and running off a
1gb sandisc SD on my TE2. It was a bit of a job but running fine now.
My question..should I attempt the V5.x update and if I so elect then what is the best and simplest way of getting it onto my card.
I have searched the forums and although I found several posts re update, I was still a little unsure of a step by step procedure. Thanks again for this great source of info.

I tried unsuccessfully to install 5.21 directly to my SD card. What I did was to install it into the default location on the PDA, then using Active Sync I dragged and dropped the Navigator folder onto the SD card. Then I created a short cut to the .exe file and dropped that into the Windows Start menu. Very quick, and it works very reliably from the card.
