TomTom Go..what is ASN

Hi, sorry if this is a daft question, but down on the right hand side of the screen on the TT-Go i keep getting the letters ASN flashing, can some bright spark tell me what they stand for....thank you

Some of the GOs have an accelerometer that can help out when the GPS signal is lost (in tunnels etc) to calculate the direction of movement for a while. It is called Assisted Satellite Navigation, ASN.

Don't expect too much of it, the sensor used by TomTom doesn't seem to be of the highest quality.
