|
|
I am running TT5 on a Dell X50. I can plan a route and set off but at some point during the journey the display goes into a 'long distance zoom' mode and I can no longer see the road I am travelling on. Although spoken directions can be heard they are not very easy to follow when you cannot see the TT5 display.
It is difficult to describe - can anyone advise what the problem might be. I found a thread which suggests that it might be to do with svga v vga mode with a fix - I have tried this to no avail. It is something that happens periodically. |

long distance zoom mode? You don't mean the blue safety screen, do you? _________________ Lutz

first time I hear about that. Tell us more about when it happens and about your system. Are you low on memory? _________________ Lutz

I havent used it for a couple of days so unable to determine memory situation. However, I have just noticed that there is a tick to display POI Continental Cameras !!!!! and I am in UK so I have now disabled that display. I have also disabled the displaying of caravan club CL sites as there can be quite a lot of those.
I will use it in the next couple of days and report back on the latest situation. |

You are better off unticking all of the POI's. You can still navigate to them and if you want them to show up (eg speed cameras), just use the warn when near function.
You should find your tt works smoother without your POI's enabled.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
I have removed and re-installed the software and to date the problems has not re-occured. As I have not loaded all my poi lists I am beginning to think that one of the lists is the culprit - I intend loading them one at a time as needed over a long period hopefully finding the one which might be causing the problem. |
