Sometimes I lose track of the speed I'm going on the motorways, unfortunatly I've got a new renault trafic with a mental common rail diesel and 6-speed box and 100+mph is not a real stretch, and not often noticable being so quiet.
Basically it's a ticket magnet Crying or Very sad

There's this feature in the TT One, and no doubt all the TT's that when you get above a certain speed the rolling display switches off. You just get a big arrow on a blue screen that's it.

I set this to 80Mph, cos the law will shaft you on a m/way based on 10% +2mph so if I'm into my music or overtaking I really notice the second the screen switches over, it's worked so far and is very effective with so many unmarked rozzers out there :D

I get banned I lose my job, and after 30mins on a m/way you can tend to just boot it.

Just thought it was a nice touch, just how you wanna use it I guess 8)

TomTom has always had this feature. I don't like to use it myself.

I think the new ones will know the speed limit and change all the blue to red when you go too fast.

REALLY?!

How does one go about setting said feature? I've never come accross it?

or Sang at me...

But I hear your pain... I've got a TDCi Focus
and it's mad how quick it is.... and i've averaging 43.x MPG :D

You'll definately notice when the screen suddenly goes dark blue and it's "Oh so not worth 3 points"
And not when you normally look and go "Ooops 100mph"

Been using it alot this last few days, it's really effective when that screen goes off.
Too many unmarked rozzers in the North West.

Excellent, this could be handy for me. I never knew about it and have just set it up on my TT1. Thanks. 8)

Tx Richard,

I find this useful when I'm towing as it's so easy to go over 60 with the trailer... it's just a polite reminder.... well more polite than the Wife's anyway!!! hehehehee

That's an even better idea :D
I got a trailer tent and about 8 hours travelling, and I forget that it's there after a couple of hours on the motorway and work my way back up to my 'usual' cruising speed Rolling Eyes

Forget the speed limit is different for towing Crying or Very sad

Mine's kind of a trailer tent.... more a tent in the trailer... but as you say, after an hour so, you forget it's there until you've topped the 70 mark (who me?) and see it bouncing in the rear view!!!

So mine is now switched on for 60 ready for the holiday season!

I'll set mine to 71mph, cos at 71 I reckon I'll get the ticket, below that it'll be ok.

And 81 when not towing :D
