Yes i use it, and it works
i use it on my imate pda2k, can get it to site between the gps and tomtom, it works great
on my imate sp5m it will not work with tomtom mobile (yet) so i use mapopolis
it will only work in areas that have been mapped by other users, so the idea is to use it in 'data collection' mode when you have your gps with you, even on journeys you already know the route, so that you can map the area you are in for other users, you then sync this to the navizon central database
if enough users do this, then coverage will become very good.
wifi/gsm positioning is quite good, but can lag a little if you are in an area when there are only a few mapped wifi access points as the cordinates will only update when it detacts the new wifi point or cellular tower, having said this, it is enough for you too see where you are, and have a reasonable idea where to go
This is one of thos products that if there are enough 'followers' will do well
Another great thing about this, is you can use it as a location tracker, set up user groups, and see where everyone is on a map through the navizon website |
