Having just read the Garmin N?vi 300 review, the idea of additional software ie translation & currency converts seems to be a very logical fit.

The specification of the GO 910 will mean that this device would be ideally suited to similar travel applications.

What other applications would we like to see added to the GO range if and when its released.

coming back to the OP - the 910 still has the same Linux "backbone". You can write whatever programs you want for that. I'd recommend keeping an eye on Opentom.org

Perhaps then they should shelve plans to release the new range until Teleatlas have their act together, or change map suppliers.
Whilst all the little extras are nice, like the mp3 player etc, etc, first and foremost it is a navigation system of which the most integral ingredient are the maps, what good is a system that has the same maps that are obtainable now for existing GO's.
Just my thoughts, having said that no doubt i'll be queueing up to get one!!.

Not really. For example, TeleAtlas have mapping for quite a few cities in Ireland now, but hardly any of it has filtered through to TomTom maps yet.

True, TomTom still has to decide to actually buy the data.
