HELP!!

I have TomTom 5.21 on my Dell Axim X51v and I have bought a GP-27 unit from Ebay. I cannot get it to work.

I paired both devices using bluetooth and have set up an outgoing port on COM 8 but it still says GPS signal not valid when i check in TomTom.

Any ideas guys?

sounds like the receiver doesn't have a fix yet. Take it outside and leave it alone for 15 minutes (switched on of course).

Alternatively, throw the GP-27 away and get a Sirf-III based receiver.

Have you configured the receiver in Tom Tom itself? You need to do that as well. Change preferences / Show GPS status / configure. Start by trying "other Bluetooth" option. Don't be surprised if that does not work - in that case try "other NMEA"

You may need to experiment a bit with the Com port and BAUD rate.
