As a newbie I have searched very unsuccessfully for a gps device which will give me automatic overspeed warnings. I travel a route which is totally restricted with 30, 40 and 50 mph sections. It has no Gatso's, Fatso, Watso or any other known cameras so that part of the device is redundant. Every detctor manufacturers hype does not seen to cover this basic facility.
Request please does anyone know of an automatic speed warning device which will give at least a ping when a transgression occurs |

I believe that the MIO 268 / 269 may offer this facility with their latest software. |

this is going to sounds really cruel and very pc but the speed changes will signed at the road side to do this you'll need to set it up manually as each section of road and then manually switch to the next speed limit when entering the next speed limit the speed limit warn for detectors only because the speed limit the camera is in will have been logged so unless there are cameras there currently nothing I know of (just me get shot down in flames) will do what your asking automaticly _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

Navigon5 does have the facility to set a warning at a user defined ammount above the speed limit however there are two riders on this. At the moment (at least on my 1yr old version) only major trunk roads have speed limit data attached. The data is only as good as when it was taken (prob about 1-2 yrs ago) so any changes to speed limits by the local councils mean this can only be used as a guide. _________________ Nokia 5800 XM
