I use TTN5 on an IPAQ 3790 with Holux GPSlim236. It works fine but needs a warm reset quite often to cure "lock-ups". These occur with various symptoms including:
1. Sytem working fine, stop for lunch, shut down TTN5 then IPAQ but leave receiver on. Take PDA out of car and have lunch. Return to car, switch on PDA and launch TTN5. Launches OK but gives message "no GPS device". Go to the GPS screen and the little "BMW symbol" is not rotating. The only way out is a warm reset then everything os OK.
2. On other occasions after using TTN5 I cannot switch off the PDA ( or do anything else for that matter). Again the only solution seems to be a warm reset.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

is the iPAQ ROM the latest available?
are you tapping the EXIT APPLICATION button to close TT or are you just turning the PDA off?
have you tried turning the receiver off when you turn everything else off then turning it back on again after you have restarted TT?

1. I've no idea about the ROM. How do I find out?
2. Yes I always "exit application" first
3. I've not tried turning off the receiver. I doesn't always need a reset - only about one time in three.

cheers!
