I'm looking for a free or cheap GPS software app that will turn my PDA and reciever into a simple GPS unit, dispalying just grids (hopefully in OSGB), altitudes, direction of travel, (maybe offering directions in mills as well as degrees?) As well as way point functionality.
Effectively I'm looking for the functionality of a cheap GPS unit like an etrex etc Without having to buy an etrex, for those odd times when I have to leave the car and go back to nature.
I'm not after topo style software (I use paper OS maps in the feild), just a screen that will give me grids on my pda.
Any suggestions? _________________ TT 730 |

NO software can turn your PDA into a GPS, without connecting it to a GPS!! (I think that is what you are after) _________________ Pc-Mobile

Doesn't he say he has a receiver in the first two lines of his post Which I take to be a Gps Recceiver.
BTW I have used Follow me and its very good.
