Anyone know if my PDA / Tom Tom setup is not 100% compatible:-
I have a dell Axim X30
Cable Globalsat BR-355
and Tom Tom 5.000 (4890) software

I have managed to get everything to work as it directs me to my destination though about 10 minutes into the journey Tom Tom closes down and then have to reload it from windows. Problem 2 is when I reload Tom Tom it says it can not find GPS signal and quite often closes Tom Tom down again.

Is there something I need to do to stop these problems or have I got something that is no compatible? I loaded the s/w that came with the Globalsat BR-355 though not sure what this s/w actually does. I have loaded the supplied software on to my laptop and in turn it loaded onto my PDA. Do I need to configure the Globalsat BR-355 software on my PDA or laptop? It said the s/w was designed for an earlier version of windows for PDA. I have Windows Mobile 2003 second edition.
Please let me know if more information is required....
Mega big thanks in advance for any help to resolve these problems.
Cheers
:D Andy

Try installing the latest version of TomTom as its free from www.tomtom.com you need TTN5,21 if this doesn't get rid of your problems please ask more questions - Mike

Before you launch tomtom try:

1) Click on start, settings, system, memory, running programs, and stop any programs that are running that are not required to free up memory.

2) Is tomtom installed onto the orginal memory card? If so check to see how much free space is on the card if you have installed or copied any files across.

3) Check to see you are not displaying 2 many POI's as this can cause TomTom to slow right down

4) If all this fails i would backup personal data, hard reset the PDA and install tomtom again, if the same problem starts again it could either be the card or your PDA.

Hope this helps.

Cheers for help, I reloaded Tom Tom and disabled the majority of POI so fingers crossed will stay stable from now.

Take it easy
