TomTom 700 Docking staton

Having bought a 700 to replace my failing EMTEC/IPAQ5550, on line via Currys yesterday (£304.99), I have been looking into purchasing a docking station for my car. I would however be grateful on information on how the docking station interfaces with my car radio, does it reply on the car radio having some decicated inputs or similar?

My car is a 2001 Vauxhall Vectra, the radio being a Phillips 500

It connects via ISO connectors to your car's power and speakers.
So your radio sound is rerouted through the PDK to your car speakers.
If the GO makes a sound, your radio output is cut off, and the GO sound will go to the car speakers.

If you don't have ISO connectors, the wiring is quite a job.
