updating maps

hi all
is it possible to update the maps on the TT300 to take into consideration new road etc.
if so how is this done

You can download maps from the TomTom site but they don't show the version numbers. The downloads come at a price though.

Version 6 is due out anytime now and the maps will obviously be updated but by how much? Even so I expect there will be errors because roads have changed since the mapping was done.
