No need to post the same question twice. Never heard of the "mighty" Gizmondo myself so can't help you.

Storming,

I have had a hole lot a fun setting up the DB on CP6, just to check you have read the all the faqs this site and ALK have to offer? Smile

Camera DB beginners guide
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=17702

ALk instalation guide
http://support.alk.eu.com/cgi-bin/alk.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=257&p_created=1119886773

Have tried posting on the gizmondo forums, i just visited and there is a thread, on the front page, talking about sat nav.

http://www.gizmondoforums.com/forums/index.php?act=home

i don't know how gizmondo works but make sure you only have one set of map data installed on your device, I manged to get 3 different versions in my Axim whilst playing around with the PC software. Embarassed

Thats about my 10 cents, if I've said anything incorrect, sorry

Tom

From what I can tell the db does not come in a format that supports gizmondo. As gizmondo is not in the drop menu on the db download page but I searched the ALK support and found a link to your prob.

off topic: Is there away of making the link appear as a word??

The files have already been absorbed into CP, so hopefully they might work.

Tom

Have you tried this?

Now THAT I can answer!

Normally, to add a link, you click on the "URL" button then you put in the web address
and click the "URL" button again, giving the format:
puts in
{url}webaddress{/url}

If you want to give it a short piece of text, just step back into the square bracket, put an equals sign, then your text. Like this:

{url=TEXT}webaddress{/url}

You will then see "TEXT" in red and underlined as the link.

(I had to replace the square brackets with curly ones to illustrate it, otherwise it got all confused!)

Shouldn't that be {url=webaddress}TEXT{/url};)

trpmorgan - love the input, but it sorta contradicts the advice given here:

http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=37869

or if you prefer, here

I think I've just about got it now. Many thanks, Darren - works just fine in Preview. Lesson learnt - cursor on button, read advice.

Which reminds me - Off Topic - why do some people whinge about wanting to edit posts, when the Preview facility allows you to do just that?

Now where's my flameproof vest Burn In Hell ?????
