Vagaries of Windows and PCs and USB.

If you use an old version of Windows, you will need to load a USB driver (which I think is on the TomTom CD), recent Windows versions SHOULD work straight away.
Try:
1) Switch computer ON, plug in USB, switch on Go (You've probably done this one already)
2) Switch computer ON, switch Go ON, plug in USB
3) Switch Go ON, plug in USB, switch computer ON

All these give different results on my PC Evil or Very Mad

might be of interest (doubt it though! 8) )

It's also possible that you haven't pushed the plug into the GO hard enough! For some reason some GO/ONE's have a very tight socket and the plug needs to "click" into place.

After a few uses the plug wears itself in and the fit becomes normal.
