I have just got a Garmin Nuvi which seems very good.
I generally need to use UK OS Grid References rather than post codes to set my destinations. Is there any way I can work in OS grid refs rather than postcodes or stret names ?
If I am online I can easily convert using Streetmap, but I'd like to be able to read a grid ref off a map and set that as my SatNav destination when I'm out and about.
Is there any way to do this ?
Cheers, Mick.

I don't know if this works on the Nüvi, but it does on the Quest.

Go into the settings and change the map datum to OSGB.

If you know the OSGB reference then you can make a waypoint then edit the waypoint details and enter the co-ordinates you want.

You can also move the cursor pointer around the screen and it will show you the OSGB grid reference at the bottom of the screen.

Good luck!
