|
|
Hi Guys..
My RJ11 connector for the TomTom GPS devices has recently broken - it was a very flimsy connection in the first place! I now have stripped the wires down, but not sure where they go!
4 connectors on the RJ11
BLACK
ORANGE
BROWN
RED
The orange, brown and red are obvious enough, as these are the wires coming from the GPS cable, but what goes in the black section of the RJ11 connector? The three coloured wires all have a jacket of wires around them - is this the part which goes into the black part?!
thanks for ANY help on this!! _________________ Matt Facer

Are you sure it's an RJ11? That's a modem connector. The GO/ONE only has a mini USB connector.
I would just buy another cable.
Unless you mean the chassis mount and you've taken the GO apart!! _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

he is talking about the wired GPS receiver - broken RJ11 is a common problem. |

You are absolutely correct it is the RJ11 connector and the jacket of wires as you call them goes in the black position. I had the same problem with mine breaking and got a packet of 10 new RJ11 connectors from RS.
Hope this helps |
