Mapsource route to GPS unit

Ive plotted route between two addresses in Mapsource and it has autorouted OK. Shows the route basically as I expected on the map.

Transferred it to the GPS which shows it OK as a route but has totally recalulated the directions different to the Mapsource ones.

Any ideas why and how to force the GPS to accept the Mapsource directions.

Its not critical as I use TomTom in the car normally but as mapsource/GPS has the capability I would like to get it working OK as a standby.

Do your PC version of Mapsource and your Garmin device have different 'Preference' settings? You can also 'force' navigation by setting waypoints along roads you want to use.
