'Program memory low' - moving to CF card?

Hi,

I have been looking at various threads (http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=189867#189867) (to which I posted a question but no response so I'm reposting as a new topic) re moving TTN5 to the CF card 'cos I'm getting 'Program memory low' errors which cause TTN to close down. I assume that I may be able to prevent this by moving the app to my CF card.

I have followed the instructions in the above thread and am not sure whether I should also remove the TTN program from RAM - seems logical but am nervous in case it all goes pear shaped then as it so often has in the past when I mess around with things.

Also - will I have to reinstall CheckPOInt to get it to link correctly??

I too have a 2210 with a CF card and believe me when I say its probably one the best PDAs available when it comes to using TT5. Mine runs perfectly and I have never had the message 'Program memory low' appear. What’s causing your trouble I don’t know. However, you have nothing to loose if you do install TT5 to your CF card – it will either work or it wont. Providing you first carry out a full Backup of your entire PDA you can proceed safely. Should it fail you will then be able to do a simple restore.

You could try go the the Settings, then Memory, then Running programs and end all. This might free up the required memory
