Tom Tom 5 + PIN 570 no gps fix !

Hi, I have just installed tom tom 5 on my pin570 but can't get a gps fix, I have tried all the settings shown on the previous threads without any success, If i turn on the gps before starting tom tom and then set the baud rate to 9600 and the gps on navigator setting it searches for satellites but never connects to anything.

Has anyone got tom tom to work on a pin570 ?, i'm sure it needs to be on com 8 at 9600 baud rate, is there any way of changing the com port from 3 to 8.

err... you shouldn't have to set the com if you use the Navigator 5 software options.

Turn on the GPS in the ">settings>system" screen then start Navigator.

Inside Navigator Preferences browse til you see the show GPS status! choose "configure" & select >Other Cable NMEA GPS [select]> GPS baud rate = 9600[done]> tap on GPS on Navigator (takes you back to the signal screen[done]).

The reciever isn't as strong as a tomtom - so make sure you position the device in the windscreen with the aerial extended.
