Problems with my Magellen GPS and/or memory card

I have a Magellan GPS and I have a 64mb memory card. We have used it ALOT on trail riding on quads and many trips, I just love it. My problem is when I turn it on with the memory in it it won't boot up, it says loading on the bottom of the screen and never loads up. If I turn it on without the memory in it it load up just fine. So I'm assuming that the memory card is corrupted or something. I did do a scan on the card thru the GPS and it didn't find any errors and I formatted the card and still no luck. So do I buy another memory card and see what happens? I was wondering if anybody else has had this happen? I love my GPS and would like some input on what could be the problem. The GPS and memory card are both 2-1/2 years old with a lot of usage.
