hx4700 Memory Card

My Kingston 512Mb SD card is getting very full. If I replaced it with a 1Gb SD card can I just copy all the files (including all my TomTom maps, voices, camera database etc) across from one to the other and expect TomTom to continue working quite happily or will I need to re-install onto the new card? Is there any benefit to be had by getting one of the 80x faster cards?

I found the easiest way was to copy the contents of the SD card to my desktop, change SD cards and then copy back from the desktop to the SD card. Some SD cards do not work well with Tom Tom there’s a thread at http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/storage-card-compatibility.php
About cards that work OK.

It’s a good idea to keep an copy in any event.
