V8 or V7 Just By Looking At The Box / Woolies

Hi,

Got my I3 from Comet a week ago, found it had v7 maps on, on the box it says it includes 'Europe NT v7', I didnt know v8 had already been released until I found this site Embarassed

Anyway my local Woolies has just got some I3 back in stock, but these ones dont say what version maps they have just 'Europe NT'. They wont let me open the box and put bats in to see either as the boxes are sealed.

Anyway is there anyway I can tell what version maps it has from the box and ref code etc ?

Seeing as my original one had v7 maps on and the box states v7 I thinking that may be as the boxes in woolies dont state ANY version it there v8 maps ? People who have V8 maps could they have a look at the bottom of there boxes and see if it states V8 or just Europe NT

Dan, you are right, I checked the barcode and it does have "v8" on the left hand side.

Took v7 one back to Comet and went and got it from Woolies, £144.99 and it had the v8 next to bar code, so by taking back my v7 back to Comet Ive not only upgraded to v8 but saved £25 as well.

Interestingly when I first turned it on, I happened to be on the top level of a multi story carpark, it got hooked up to the satilite(s) in less than 7 second ! 8O It also gets 4 bars outside my flat as apposed to 1 red bar I got with the old one....wierd...
