The POI sources I tried are useless!

Having read Ray's instructions for creating your own poi.dat to replace the tomtom one I thought I'd have a go. My plan was to get rid of the useless categories I don't need and get better poi's for the ones I do (golf courses, car parks, hotels, petrol stations, restautants etc. The problem I found was that none of the poi sites I used could get anywhere near to giving as good a list as the one included with tomtom. For example, the nearest golf course was about 30 miles away whereas tomtom lists at least 10 within 30 miles!

So I deleted it my hard work and went back to tomtom's original. But I don't like to give up easily! I feel sure there must be some really good POI sites out there that give a better coverage than the ones I tried.

I used these BTW so if anyone knows a good source please let me know.

Thanks for the Motorway junctions BTW. I've been using them for a while and they are very useful as waypoints.
