Hey guys am new to all this navman stuff, i use to have a tomtom. anyways, i have a navman icn 550, and i need speed cameras on it. at the moment their is none. their are some poi's but not many that i would also like to update.
I dont have no software with it because its 2nd hand , but i do use activesync to browse the files inside. I have all the maps preloaded on the 4gb hard drive inside.
I have noticed when i download a speed cam database the files do not match to the files inside the MAP folder or the POI folder. inside these folders are .CHK and .MAP these are in the MAP ffolder inside the POI folders are .CHK and .BM - the speed cam database i download have .OV2 and a BITMAP file - so i think i ahve the wrong database if anybody can please help me thanks very much. |

There may be others on this forum who know better, but I think it will be impossible to do anything without the navman software>
I would approach whoever you got it from to ask for the software as well.
Otherwise you will have to buy it from Navman. |

Best to take/send it back as it is incomplete. You need the SmartST2005 software. For the iCN 550, this is release 2. _________________ Tim |
