Custom Average Speeds + Memorise Position

Hi. I've used TTN2 + 3, but have just purchased a ONE with v5 of navigator. For the most part it's great, but I miss 2 features:

Custom Average Speeds: I have a heavy right foot. I know it. It means that on an average trip of any more than 15 minutes I can shave up to 5 mins off the ETA per 15 minutes of journey, subject to the roads and time of day. In TTN3 I could adjust my average road speed on Motorway/A/B/other roads, and increasing the averages ever so slightly dramatically improved the accuracy of my arrival time, which I really liked. I can't see this option anywhere in the ONE's settings, and would be grateful if anyone could point me at it!

Feature 2 - Memorise Position: I used to like the memorise position button, as it was a good way of quickly making note of a particular shop or road or junction, and then coming back to it later (when not driving!) to save it properly. I worked out how to Manage Favorites | Add | Current GPS Position, but it is about 5/6 steps assuming you don't want to name the favorite instead of the old faithful double tap that I used before.


Other than that love the thing to bits. Can't beleive I messed around with separate GPSs for so long!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Roop, and welcome to the Forum.

Unfortunately, there is no facility within the Device to adjust the speed rating of the various roads. It's one of those things that some would like. I believe TT has no intention of changing the situation either.

As to your second point. I'm afraid that's the only way you can do it at the moment. Once again it down to TomTom issuing the SDK so that the clever boys can create 3rd party utilities.

On point 2 you could customise your menus to reduce the number of keystrokes. See Ray's site:
