Is this true that while driving in spain The driver must not use any screen based aid to navigation (or entertainment) while on the road.
If this is correct that means you cannot use your tomtom in spain as i was thinking of buying the map for my go300. |

hi
i have no idea if it is true that you cant have screen mounted items while driving but i read somewhere that some people use the suction mount on the side window
i know its a pain in the bum because you then cant open the window but it will get you round the problem
or you could try sticking it to the dashboard somehow (the origonal tomtom classic came with a plastic disk with an adhesive on the back so you could stick it to anything)

You can use GPS in Spain. This site means your NOT allowed to operate it whilst on the move, or to have it blocking your view.
I have driven around Spain using TomTom Go, with no problems, i have even seen the local "Guarda" using TomTom Go's, Even HGV drivers have them.
As long as you don't start tapping the screen, or entering your destination whilst driving, you are allowed to use GPS.

Thanks for that info gingernut777. I was wondering about that as I was intending to use my TT1 in Mallorca in September. |
