Program updating Tom Tom ONE software

Hi,

I brought a Tom Tom ONE last weekend. I have already managed to put the speed camera files from this site onto it, however I’m having a problem updating the software from the Tom Tom website.

I downloaded 5.420, and followed the instructions, backing up first – problem the option to ‘install the application’ is not there. The version on my Tom Tom is 5.410, could it be that simply it thinks I already have the latest version and not giving me the option to install.

Also, another daft question - when I update the Nav Software - do I also receive the lastest UK maps with this, or are they downloaded separate.

TomTom never download Maps. The bandwidth would be enormous anyway.

The map upgrades usually appear in Late Spring.

At a guess I would think there is very little difference between 5.41 and 5.42.

Thanks for the reply. So around spring time the maps will be available.

Maybe i'm misunderstood, but if the maps are not downloadable how do you get the free updates for when the roads change?

Easy questions I know, but i'm new to GPS & Tom Tom and still getting use to it all.

forget about the free upgrades. You may get them at a reduced price but never free.
