I have noticed that there is a slight click at the start of each spoken direction...

Could someone be kind enough to do a quick test on their Tom TOm ONE for me please....

Go to the volume change setting and take the volume down low - then see when you press the test button if you hear the speaker click in at the start....

I'm not suure if this is normal or if I have a faulty speaker!...

Thanks

Thanks DracUK!

Seems a little strange - anyone know of any fixes/workarounds? Anyone else annoyed by it?!...

Looks like the click is independent of the volume (that's why setting the volume low makes it easier to hear). It is audible with the volume set to about 85% - but less so.

I will do some more tests with the external speaker later.

In the meantime has anyone else had a go to see if their ONE is the same? Please post you results as it would be good to see if it specific to units or a feature...Thanks

Using headphones seems to be much better. Also using the male voice through the TT1 speaker seemed to make it less noticeable.

Any other TT1 owners just do this little test for me and post your findings - I would be most grateful...

I never noticed it before, but I tried it and yes there is a clicking sound before she speaks.

Its not too bad though, plus my Van easily masks the noise.
