|
|
Hi everyone. My first post on this forum...
I have Tom Tom Mobile on a Nokia 6600, soon to be transferred to a Nokia 6630.
I would like to download the speed camera database and have downloaded the software but can't find specific instructions on how to install it on TT Mobile.
I am probably being extra cautious but I don't want to risk messing up my set up!
Any advice please?
Also, I guess I should save the content of my MMC card before I make any changes but what is the correct way of doing this?
I have copied and pasted the content using a card reader/writer to transfer to another card and the latter did not work!
Thanks for the help. |

What 'software'?
What you need to do is put your MMC card in a card reader and navigate to the Great_Britian_Map folder. Then find the .ov2 and .bmp files you want to copy and copy these to the card. Then put the card back in your phone and restart TTM. That's it! |

Thanks for the tips MarkHewitt and ericb.
I have installed the speed camera database and it seems okay.
Going to try it tomorrow!
Cheers :D |

I have just tried adding the .ov2 and BMP files onto my MMC card. It all appears to work fine until you start moving with a route setup.
With any .ov2 / bmp file in the map directory, the screen update is very slow, and the voice gets chopped up badly ( this happens even if the the poi is not selected)
If I remove the .ov2 and bmp files from the map directory then all is okay again
Any one have any ideas?
