Ok I have downloaded the update that you guys have supplied to record the camera locations. Can we still send in locations with out using this new record POI's facility as I know of a couple that I saw the other day ( I actually was caught I think on one of them ) Ahh well my own fault but would like to have its location added to your data base as soon as poss.
Wouldn't want any one else to fall foul of the camera's :P |

Hi pip510,
to the forum!
If you can accurately provide the longitude and latitude of the camera then please feel free to send it in.
However it would be best to record it using POI Capture when you next pass the camera.
We hope that as many people as possible will download and install POI Capture onto their TomTom as the more people out there who can record the cameras, the more chance we have of reaching our goal of a 100% accurate database.
Don't forget that we would like multiple reporting for each camera! This ensures that we get an accurate location and that multiple conformations help accredit each camera.

We dont want just the cameras that are not in the current database!
We want all the cameras you can find!! :D
Once the system has been up and running for a while we will be putting some stats on the site, such as Most Reported Cams, and Most Reported New Cams. So make sure you enter your correct user name when submitting otherwise you may credit someone else.
Good hunting... _________________ Mike Barrett |

????? You mean you want people to re-submit cameras that are already in your database?
Seems odd.... and a huge amount of extra work for Richard. |

Not for Richard, for the database script. It's sitting there twiddling thumbs the whole day anyhow. _________________ Lutz
