Hi,
can anyone see if they are able to help me with this problem.
I just brought a new BT GPS "Holux GR-240". I have installed pocket bluetooth tools on my atom o2 exec and tomtom6. I cannot get any signal from this. When i go into my tomtom 6 and check the satelites, nothing comes up.
When i turn my holux on, it finds it - on the tomtom6 it says "No valid GPS signal" - on the device the bluetooth light is flashing every 3 seconds and the satelite light flashes every second.
When i turn my holux off, the tomtom6 satelite tells me that "No GPS device".
Can any1 see if they are able to help me?
Is it a faullty item?
Is it compatible with my atom o2 exec?
Cheers |

Welcome to the forum, please have a read/ follow This Thread which used an Exec and Holux GPSlim236 - it will show you step by step what is required to do.
I would also recommend that you delete the existing pair between the Exec and GPS BEFORE following the guide.
By the way why have you installed Bluetooth Tools on the device it is not required to get this working?
As for compatibility it should work fine, once you have followed the set-up guide take it all outside and wait for 20 Mins (it probably won't need as long as this, but sometimes a first fix can take a while - Mike |

Have you got rid of the BTTools application from the device? - also can you confirm the actual phone PDA is it an Atom or is it an Exec as both devices exist in their own right.
This web page might help you decide which one it is, the Exec also uses the name "Universal" - Mike |

It could be that your GPS is left on sirf mode, though unlikely.
You could try "resetting" the GPS by draining the battery (leave it on) for a few days.
After a reset it should revert back to NMEA mode. _________________ Pc-Mobile
