Apologies if this has been covered before but the TT5 stickies on this forum are now up to 400+ posts 8O and I don't have time to read them all.
In TT3 you could plan an itinerary whilst not connected to a GPS device. You set your destination and stop off points and had either the option to Navigate or Plan. Plan gave you the option to choose the starting point (Home address or map centre) but it seems TT5 only gives you the option to Navigate and won't work if not connected to GPS.
You can obviously do several A->B plans but this takes up a lot of time.
Is there something I'm missing? _________________ HP iPAQ 2210; TT5 wired; 256Mb Kingston CF; 256Mb Viking SD; Arkon Powered Speaker Mount

Ignore
I've just seen the answer after trawling through search
And it seems the answer is no but there's a workaround possible with 5.1 _________________ HP iPAQ 2210; TT5 wired; 256Mb Kingston CF; 256Mb Viking SD; Arkon Powered Speaker Mount

My TT Nav 5.1 has a button for Advanced Planning and Itinerary Planning. Am I missing something in the above posts? |

Yes!
With Advanced Planning you can only have one waypoint, and you can't save it for future use.
With Itinerary planning, you can only plan an itinerary from your present position when connected to your GPS receiver.
BUT - with 5.1 you can fool it into thinking that the GPS receiver is connected, and plan and save an itinerary (see the workaround in the sticky list of bugs at the head of this forum) In practice, this is almost as easy as planning and saving an itinerary in TT3.
