ipaq rz1710 tomtom install problems!

just got a this ipaq with ttn5 on sd card. When i put the sd card in the installation screen appears for a split second then goes back to thte today screen so i cant install it to use. Tried doing it via the autorun prog on the sd card but still teh same. Anyone got any ideas

The IPAQ, if it is a 1710, may have had TT4 installed on it. When I tried to upgrade mine from TT4 to TT5 I found it simply would not work - stupidly, the TT5 install does not remove the TT4 files from the SD card - so every time you put the card in the IPAQ, TT4 tries to overwrite TT5. What happens is neither will run becasue the IPAQ is trying to run TT5 but the card keeps running the autorun on the card which keeps looking for TT4 and then overwriting what it finds with TT4. I tried various solutions, but in the end the only thing that worked reliably was uninstalling all elements of TT from the IPAQ, removing all of TT from the SD card, and installing TT5 fresh from the CD.

its never had anything installed on it at all, bought brand new in a package box with the receiver etc. Has an original ttn5 sd card. I have fixed it since, i took the card from my other pda which has tomtom too (rz1710 for my parents) and soon as i put it in it worked. installed it then switch back to the new sd card.dunno wat the prob was but all working well now
