You need an AXIM PDA with VGA out , and a special cable. There are also CF Video cards available (i think).

remember though if you go this route the large screen won't be a touch screen - so you will need to prod the axim.

I think what they are getting at is that you can use the screen for an in-car PC install and run the Sat-Nav on the PC.

Here is one fitted into an Audi

Man oh man -- I do not want to be sharing the road with the person driving that Audi. The main reason I chose TomTom Nav5 instead of the competition is because of their driver- and finger-friendly interface. I live in Los Angeles, where traffic is mind-numbingly intense, and the last thing I want to do is to be fumbling with a stylus and a quarter-inch high menu option while zooming through a mass of cars at 80 mph.

Likewise I can't understand why anyone would install a GPS screen so low -- it needs to be dashboard level or higher. If you want to turn your car into a death trap then go ahead, but at least stay off the freeways so you don't take anyone else out with you.

I agree. the screen is far too low to be looked at when driving.

I have my own plans for a in-car PC with tough screen, but there will also be a secondary 5 inch screen on the dash for sat-nav
