Please help me decide on what to buy.

I'm looking at getting a GPS thingy. I've seen a cable and wireless one, a goodmans one and a Navman Pin pocket PC V3 which is going cheap because it's end of line. What i'm wanting to know is are there updates available like European maps and additional data for the UK like fixed cameras places of interest etc for all of these or are some better than others. I don't want to buy something and then find i'm stuck with what I bought and no chance of adding to it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
PS My budget is not much - about £250.00

You will find with most GPS equipment when the unit goes end of line in most cases you can then buy the newer software/map data to work on the unit. Before you buy i would check with the manufactuer that you will be able to do so.
