Palm -one zire 72 - 5.10 patch required ??

Anyone know if the tomtom 5.10 update is the patch required for fixing out the following problem I occasionaly have with a palm one zire 72 when used with tom tom 5 navigator ?? - the screen will freeze or go dark and only a hard reset will cure this problem, does not hapen all the time but has happend a few times now.

happened today after using tt5 during a long jorney ( 5 hours ) went to use the camera facility off the zire 72 and the screen froze / went very dark and as I say only a hard reset cured the problem.

feel sure it is the tt5 nav software which is causing this occasional problem as I cant remember these symptons happening when the sat nav software was not in use beforehand.

any advice as always very much appreciatted.

That'll be 5.12 you're after for a Palm (5.10 is PPC only I think)

I've not seen any answers about what 5.12 'fixes'. I have it installed on my T3 and it works fine - I can't see any obvious difference from 5.0.

If you back up your existing setup then you can try 5.12 for a while and see if it fixes your problem - if it does, great...if it doesn't, but works as before then you've lost nothing. If it doesn't work or things are worse, you can revert to 5.0 from your backup.

Thanks for the info regards the 5.12 update that I may require as opposed to the 5.10 that I wrongly suggested !!

will probably do what you advise and give it a try and see if it cures the problem off the screen freeze / dark display, if not then no harm done trying !!

take it this 5.12 update fix is a free download on the tomtom site ??

anyone else who had this screen freeze problem on there palm pleased do get in touch would be interested to hear if you manged to cure the problem with this fix ??

5.12 is a free download.

I've been using it since it was realease on my treo 650 & sometimes my T3 without any problems.
