I have downloaded the chk file and installed, following the intructions (so I thought!), I have figured out how to mangae the POI etc., but there is not a catagory for the speed cameras. Have I got the wrong database? Where is the most up-to-date database?
Many thanks |

What chk file? The download is a zip flie which contains many different files. The ones you need for TomTom are .ov2 and .bmp files.
I don't know what makes you think you need chk?!
Perhaps try reading the instructions? |

Hi nikthomas,
to the forum!
I know that you're posting in the TomTom Mobile forum, but the following instructions for both the GO and TTNav for PocketPC should help.
There are some guides that should be read (in the following order):
The beginner’s guide to the PocketGPSWorld camera database.
This explains about the different camera types and about categories and subcategories, so that you can decide how you want the database on your unit.
Depending on whether you have TomTom Navigator on a Pocket PC or TomTom GO, please read either:
How to install (camera database) POIs to TomTom Navigator 5.
This guide explains how to load the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto a Pocket PC running TomTom Navigator 5.
How to install (camera database) POIs onto a TomTom GO.
This guide explains how to load the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto your TomTom GO.
The above guides may look lengthy and complicated when first seen. However if you grab a cup of coffee and read each one thoroughly then they should make sense as they have been written in a step-by-step way, for ease of reading.

Thanks for your quick reply.
All done and lovely.
This Tom Tom Mobile workings great, I am really impressed. It was very straight forward to set up and works a lot faster than I thought it would.
Very Happy :D |
