|
|
I have access to my neighbours broadband connection by wireless card on my laptop so I used the same settings for my PDA which was working fine until I tried to connect to another wireless connection in the vicinity when I have messed it up. Is there a way of recovering just the wi-fi settings from a backup file ?
The reason I require the settings is because it was more by luck than judgement that I got it to work in the first place.
Thanks |

Does next door know you are doing this, if not its illegal, if so knock on the door and find out what wep settings are in use, I am typing this in my local pub running on their connection - but they gave permission and its free :P - mike |

Yes he does know, we are good friends.
I do have the settings from my laptop but it was a struggle to get it to work anyway. I am obviously missing something but I was hoping to just restore the settings to make life a bit easier. |

In which case get the WEP settings from next door and re-load them, unless you have a back-up of the software and configuration of the PDA - if you don't have the back-up then its the only way - once you get it working back the machine up to the SD card then its an easy re-install of everything - Mike |
