Settings are OTHER CABLE DEVICE, then baud rate of 57600 then GPS ON NAVIGATOR. I have found on mine that sometimes I then have to do a soft reset then enter tomtom again to make it search for the satellites. You will see a little circle in the top right hand side of the screen, this will start to rotate if u have the correct settings. Be aware that it can take minutes for it to lock onto satellites. I have purchased an external aerial for mine from ebay and its much better at finding and keeping a lock onto satellites whislt driving.

You also have to configure the correct com port that the internal GPS use.
I do not have a n35 so do not know what it is. On Mio168 clone it is com 2.

According to N35 manual, GPS settings are:
Other Cable Device, 9600bps on COM8:

I have tried sengadog's settings and they work. However, need to soft reset every time N35 is turned on. Don't know whether settings have anything to do with this.
