HI-303III problems connecting to navigation programmes

Just purchased a HI-303III to simplify installation in car and when flying!

CF-GPS can be found using the GPSinfo program supplied but 9 out 10 times fails to be found in TOMTOM Navigator 3/Memory-Map etc.

Also when programmes searching for comms ports the bluetooth blue lights starts flashing and the IPAQ operators very slowly (i.e. displaying the start screen line by line)

What is the best method using cf-gps and the above programmes?

IPAQ 3950, CF expansion sleeve, SD 1GB card, 2002 OS
