Please be gentle I am a newbie here. Could someone please confirm, (When using the Tom Tom wired gps receiver) that when the indicator shows flashing green then a signal is being recieved?
My problem is that my Toshiba e330 is showing no gps device and I need to start somewhere with my faul finding.

I don't have that particular kit but a pal of mine did & I had to try & set it up for him...
If I remember, he has the 'TomTom' branded mouse Rx and the led did flash. However the software will not 'see' the receiver if the comport is not set up first...
I'm running from what I remember...Check comport is COM1, baud 4700 and once set, make sure that the tick box is checked to stop selecting a different configuration.
Other than those simple tips, I can’t suggest anything else…

Thanks for your reply. I have been using TT5 for a short while and it worked fine since it was installed, It has just seemed to have given up. Do you think it may be related to the weather? or could it be just coincidence?
