tomtom 300 i can only search 5 digit postcode

i use to be able to do a full search but not now i cant :x please can someone help

hi

in what way cant you do the search? please let us know how you are trying to search for postcode

you should tap the screen then navigate to then tap the right arrow and it should appear top left as postcode

have you done anything to it to stop you doing this or has it just stopped or did it crash then stop?

please let us know

i updated software now i can only search 5 digitsi click postcode
i only can get to this
BS27 3 (CHEDDAR)
THEN IT GOES TO STREET??
but i want to search full postcode Crying or Very sad

hi

are you looking under postcode or address

if you look under address it will only go to 5 digits but if you look under postcode it will go to 7 but you must leave out the space in the middle of the postcode

yes it is postcode not address

i am sorry to say that i have no idea why it dosen't work (you dont appear to be doing anything wrong) and can only suggest that you revert back to the version you were using before it went belly up, or hope someone else reads this and does now why it is happening

Have you still got the Zip Folder with the Great_Britain.Postal file in it?

What version did you update your software from, and what did you upgrade to?

ive been search the web for the Great_Britain.Postal file, but im stuck on 97.9% and its not downloading any more can some please send it to me or tell me where i can obtain the file from please

thanks dudes, but i managed to find it, along with maps for europe as well, and it works perfeclty, full 7 digit post code navigation, so cool
