A few weeks back I posted that since installing TT5 my mio hangs on startup every now and then (black screen as soon as you turn it on which requires a soft reset). I have now disabled the TomTom link on the 'Today' screen and it looks like that may have solved the problem. Anyone else had problems with this?

no never had that problem with mine. When I installed checkpoint 5 I had problems with tomtom hanging when using nav/browse/setup features in TTN%. As I was most unhappy with the way checkpoint 5 worked (not as easy as ver2) I binned it. Are you using checkpoint 5? _________________ If riding in a plane is flying then riding in a boat is swimming. If you want to experience the feeling

Nope, I'm getting on okay with the built in warner so won't bother with CP5 yet. Still no crashes so far so I can only assume that was indeed the cause.

I use a program called c launch on my mio 168. It adds a folder style menu on the today screen where you can add your favorite program icons and 'page' between the groups (you group similar programs together) by tapping the blank space. You can set icons to the size you want which is ideal for a quick 'finger tap' which is less accurate than a stylus tap. I can e-mail you the zip file if you want it or you can search the web. Great little FREEWARE app. _________________ If riding in a plane is flying then riding in a boat is swimming. If you want to experience the feeling
