How accurate are the maps ? I have borrowed a friends copy of the prog to make sure it worked with my 6680 . It seems to ,although I havent bought the Receiver yet. Did a couple of routes ,just locally , and on one it took me down a couple of one way roads for around 1/2 a mile 8O (Camden High Street and Kentish Town Road). Then on the next one it took me down roads that have been closed for a couple of years .(around Kings Cross )
I am looking to buy the kit for when I go on holiday in France . Locally Im not too bothered about mistakes ,but then I know where I am, in the middle of Paris in the rush hour would be a different proposition

i would say the device will get you where you want to go
if it trys to send you down a one way street and you drive by it will redirect you very quickly
the thing is when you are abroad you dont know if you are in the wrong place / road just so long as it gets there in the end
the biggest problem you face is the fact that tom tom will sell you only a uk map if you want a map of france you will find it akin to getting blood from a stone
so much so that i gave up and purchased destinator software to use with my spv c500
it may be that you should look at wayfinder as they offer europe to use on nokia phones

Maybe you had it set to "walking" by misstake, if you have it set to walk it will take you down one way streets no-worries!!
