Can anyone tell me what the hell Flight Mode means on the change preferences page and should I get rid of it?
If so how?
Many thanks.

if your using an xda or one the other devices from orange or vodaphone then flight mode turns all the conections off so the device can be taken on to a plane
what device are you using pls and could you pls update you profile to let us know what country your in as software and hardware can vairy between countries and the forum users can then give better answers to you questions _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Thank you for the information.
I have updated my profile.
I am using an XDA II, TT5.1 and a GLOBALSAT BT308 BLUETOOTH GPS RECEIVER
I have never seen Flight Mode before and I can't recall whether it appeared before or after the 5.1 upgrade.
Is it helpful or should I disable it and if so how please.
Many thanks,

Flight mode is part of the XDA II installation, it is the same as turning off a mobile phone when boarding an aircraft except in the case of the XDA it still leaves the PPC part of the unit working. _________________ Graham.

On the XDAIIs its on the top task bar between the O2 logo and the speaker symbol, just tap it and you get the option to turn off Flight Mode. Presumably if you've got Flight Mode on you've not been able to use your phone or GPRS to get the traffic data......Apart from the traffic data and being able to phone POIs it shouldn't make too much difference to the running of Tomtom (it'll still be full of bugs and the routing and maps will be crap!! - joke ) |

Thank you for all the help.
Rather embarrassingly the Flight Mode seems to have disappeared as mysteriously as it appeared.
I can still access all the services and at least I shall know the score if it re-appears.
